About our Public Health Director 
Joshua Horton, BS, MS, MBA

Joshua Horton, a dedicated and passionate leader in public health, currently serves as the Public Health Director of Grayson County Health Department. With a strong educational background, Joshua earned an Associate's degree from ECTC, a Bachelor's degree in Science from WKU, an MBA from Western Governors University, and a Master's in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management from EKU.

 

Joshua's commitment and contributions to his community have not gone unnoticed. He is an honored Kentucky Colonel, Grayson County's 2020 Person of the Year, the 2021 Legendary Partner with the Children's Advocacy Centers of Kentucky, and Grayson County's Young Professional of the Year in 2023. His leadership skills were further recognized during his tenure on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Grayson County from 2021 to 2024.

 

In addition to his professional achievements, Joshua is deeply involved in public health advocacy and serves as the President-Elect of the Kentucky Public Health Association. Furthermore, he is the founder of a non-profit organization that provides dental care for residents in need, demonstrating his commitment to improving the well-being of the community.

 

Joshua Horton's tireless dedication to public health, coupled with his impressive academic achievements and community involvement, make him a respected and influential figure in Grayson County and beyond.
